ABOUT
OUR MISSION
We exist to equip the Church to walk with those impacted by seasons of sickness and suffering.
OUR HISTORY
“After going through multiple cancer journeys in my own family, I was left with several questions and a lot of pain. The good news for us is that God meets us in our pain and is able to empathize with us no matter the circumstances. While we wonder why suffering and sickness exist, we have a God who has demonstrated His comfort and care and His desire to end sickness and suffering in the person of Christ. Our prayer is that the folks we serve will encounter this hope through their own chronic illness experience.”
– ASHLEY CHICKERELLA, CO-FOUNDER

WHAT IS A TAKE HEART COMMUNITY?
Take Heart is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to equip the Church to walk with those impacted by seasons of sickness and suffering. We do this primarily through ministry leader training, church hosted support groups, and through relevant, bible-centered content, articles, videos and more.
OUR PILLARS
When sickness and suffering enter someone’s story, the Church has an opportunity to come alongside them with presence, understanding, and hope. We help make that possible by equipping churches and caregivers through training and resources, and by helping churches host support groups where those affected by sickness and suffering can find a community that understands and walks with them.
